Please read on for instructions, ingredients, and other hopefully useful information. :)
What is Magic Mix?
Magic Mix is a homemade electrolyte mix of minerals and sodium that is designed to replenish and hydrate the human system. The ingredients have been chosen carefully and purposely, see more below.
Ingredients
(Redmond’s Real) Salt, (Natural Vitality Calm) Magnesium Citrate, (Bulk Supplements) Potassium Chloride, (Arm and Hammer) Sodium Bicarbonate, True Lemon.
Redmond’s Real Salt is mined from an ancient seabed in Utah where it’s safe from modern pollutants. It’s salt the way nature made it— nothing added, nothing taken away. Full of 60+ trace minerals that gives it one-of-a-kind nutritional benefits. Sodium is necessary for water to be absorbed by our cells and is a crucial electrolyte.
Magnesium citrate is a naturally occurring mineral that is important for many systems in the body, especially the muscles and nerves. It also helps manage stress, release tension and relax your mind for a calming experience you can feel. Magnesium carbonate and citric acid, when combined with water, create a solution of magnesium citrate, which is better absorbed than magnesium oxide.
Potassium chloride is a mineral that is needed for several functions of your body, especially the beating of your heart. Potassium plays an important role in maintaining the health of your kidneys, heart, muscles, and nervous system.
Sodium bicarbonate, commonly referred to as baking soda, has a rich historical significance dating back to ancient times. It is a versatile compound, known as nahcolite, and is a part of the natural mineral natron. Beyond its widespread culinary applications, some advocate for its potential health benefits. Baking soda water is believed to have various positive effects, including its ability to reduce inflammation, alleviate acid reflux, and prevent heartburn. Additionally, it is praised for its capacity to neutralize stomach acid, thereby reducing indigestion. When combined with water, sodium bicarbonate elevates the pH level, promoting alkalinity—a factor associated with several health benefits.
True Lemon is crystalized lemon. Lemons are a good source of electrolytes, like calcium, and also contain vitamin C, which can help with detoxifying the liver, balancing pH levels, and boosting the immune system. True lemon is made from real citrus and has 0g sugars and no artificial sweeteners. Non-GMO. No artificial colors, preservatives, sodium or gluten.

You can add Magic Mix to every bottle of water you drink, if desired. I recommend at least 1 tsp (4 scoops) of Magic mix per day spread out between different bottles of water for the best results, but I would not exceed 1 tbsp (12 scoops) of Magic Mix in one day.
My water bottle holds 17 oz of water and I add 1-2 scoops of Magic Mix to every bottle of water I drink throughout the day. In total I drink about 4-5 bottles a day, which equals 68 -85 oz of water, and about 8-10 scoops of magic mix per day. -
These undissolved particles which may have a red tint are just pieces of red rock that may have been attached to the Redmond’s salt from mining. They won’t hurt you, even if some are ingested. They typically stay at the bottom of my water bottle until I wash it and rinse them out.
-
Just make sure the Magic Mix is well stirred or shaken. You want to make sure the white powder is completely dissolved for the best results. Other than that, there really aren’t any warning or concerns to worry about unless your doctor has warned you specifically about magnesium, sodium, or potassium. Obviously, please stop using if you notice any adverse reactions or side effects, and please let me know so I can better understand how this powder effects different individuals.

The magnesium citrate is what causes the water to fizz. “Magnesium carbonate and citric acid combine to create an unflavored powder drink mix that mixes with water to create a unique, fizzy drink.” —Natural Vitality
